Timeline

1952—Beverage Distributors Inc. was incorporated by its owner, O.A. “Bill” Moore.  The selection of the name was very appropriate
because they sold soft drinks in addition to beer—Bubble Up Soda, Iron City Beer, Budweiser, and Black Label.

1957—A beverage representative from Iron City Brewing Co., Samuel F. D'Annunzio, joins the company.

1960—Assigned the rights to Stroh’s Beer from Detroit, Michigan.

1965—Built warehouse on Ferry Street.

1970—Sold Stroh’s products, which sold over 50% of the beer in West Virginia.

1975—Expanded Ferry Street warehouse.

1980—Started making preparations to enter the wine business.  Budweiser starts its rise to the top.

1981—Entered the wine business.

1984—Became a representative of Coors—new in West Virginia.  Anheuser-Busch becomes #1 in West Virginia.

1986—Ownership changed hands to Vincent D'Annunzio, David D'Annunzio, and Josie D'Annunzio Faix.

1990—Anheuser-Busch continued to gain market sales in the state.  Beverage Distributors moves to all route trailers.

1998—Wine warehouse was expanded.

2000—Beverage began move to beer pre-sale.

2004—Beer warehouse was expanded.

2005—Our company starts the year with

     •  Most experienced, educated group of employees in its history
     •  Greatest group of products in its history
     •  Smartest, most demanding and technologically advanced customer in its history
     •  A Strategic plan to make it happen

Throughout the years Beverage Distributors has

     •  Reflected a reputation that has preceded itself
     •  Prided itself on good corporate citizenship
     •  Been actively involved in the community
     •  Been active in association and state-led industry work
